Archivist Gallery was founded back in 1994 by husband and wife team William and Sarah Allardice, a couple passionate about letterpress printing – and passionate also about imbuing their products with a sense of fun. Archivist’s products are beautiful, timeless and for those with a quirky sense of humour!
For those who don’t know anything about letterpress printing, it is a very traditional printing technique which simply involves inking an image and then pressing it on to paper. The end result is beautifully crisp and luxurious with a texture you can actually feel.
Archivist is the leader in UK letterpress – deservedly so as they were producing their ranges long before the current letterpress revival began – and are stocked in many of the UK’s most influential and iconic design establishments including Liberty, the Victoria & Albert Museum, the Natural History Museum and The Conran Shop.
